EMMA LOVE

  • "Love ably embodies the detective’s bright, inquisitive nature and captures Ruby’s varying modes of expression, from swooniness to fast-paced snark... Most of all, Love captures the ambiance of the séance, offering spooky, singsong, and raspy voices without losing any accent work."

    —T.S. Library Journal

  • "Listeners seeking disability representation in a romance audiobook will discover all they are searching for in this illuminating contemporary, gloriously narrated by [Emma Love] and Austin Rising... the story sound[s] like a real-life conversation. The magic of this audiobook lies in how the narrators splendidly depict this couple’s willingness to expose their vulnerabilities and make the necessary accommodations to sustain a lasting and committed relationship. A winning duet narration.

When a Pacfic Northwest Sensibility is Developed by NYC

Drawn to NYC for a BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary music, but driven to stay for the acting scene, Emma was there for nearly a decade, honing her craft at Michael Howard Studios and under renowned voice coach Patsy Rodenburg, and becoming the storyteller she is today.

Based in Vancouver, Emma’s days are spent behind the mic, on set, or on stage, and teaching voice and speech. In 2024, she co-led the cast of School of Rock as Principal Rosalie Mullins for Vancouver’s historic Theatre Under the Stars company.

She is recognized for her playful, character-driven stage presence, wry directness, and her ability to cross genres.

A narrator of over 150 books, Emma is a 2026 Audie nominee for Best Original Work/ Adaptation. She won the 2024 SOVAS Award winner for Best Fiction Narration, for Canadian writer Christine Hidgon’s Gin, Turpentine, Pennyroyal, Rue (ECW Press) and was a 2025 One Voice Awards nominee for audiobook narration and animation.

Her portfolio includes titles from indie and Big Five publishers and large-scale campaigns for major networks (NBC, Hallmark) and brands (EA Sports, Canada Post, Quaker, Bud Light).

Recent notable releases include: Rock Star: My Life On and Off the Ice, memoir of Canadian curling icon and Olympic gold medalist, Jennifer Jones and a multi-cast UK release of Margaret Atwood’s, The Blind Assassin.

Her performances are marked by precision, empathy, and a deep respect for the written word—a stickler for syntax and semantics, she’s always chasing the perfect phrase.

Emma has dedicated herself to finding the ways her voice can create opportunity, connection and clarity, whether it be alongside music, or spoken. As an educator she is passionate about illuminating the vast landscape of opportunity, and the necessity for the human voice, even as technology complicates things.

Integrity, curiosity, and empathy.
